Resilience is...

...the ability to live with adverse consequences.
...the ability to swiftly adapt to changes that we cannot control.
...investing in backup plans.
...the ability to ride out the bad times.

Make hay while the sun shines is only one half of the advice. Store the excess for a rainy day is the other half.

It is at times like this that the value of resilience stands out.

But the time to build up the capability was a long time ago.

However, as the Chinese proverb goes, "The best time to plant a tree was ten years ago. But the next best time is now."

So get to it.
