What we speak over our lives become our reality

"We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves."
- Buddha

I publish well over a hundred blog posts a year, and have been doing so for several years now. One of the things I often get asked is how I come up with topics to write about at this frequency.

I just have one trick.

Writing everyday is like pouring fresh, crystal clear spring water into a bottle of dirty water. Eventually, as you keep doing this, you will be with only clear spring water.

What we speak over our lives become our reality.

The exercise of writing is one that I strongly recommend to everyone. It is the single most powerful way of autosuggestion of positive thoughts. Even more powerful than meditation.

When I'm particularly down, I can't bring myself to write, no matter how hard I try. Because writing involves mustering together positive things to say. Of course, on those days, I can write a vent post about why something shouldn't be the way it is (and I have done that a few times), but I avoid doing that.

Whatever it is that you are planning to achieve, whatever it is that you would like yourself to do better, write about it and write about it everyday. Not the minutiae of what you're doing, but advice that you would give to yourself in order to get there.

And if there is something that you aren't comfortable writing about and publishing, that's a sign that you aren't happy about or proud of that side of your life.

So, go write.
