Conversations with others offers us a different perspective on the topics that we are considering in our heads.

At the same time, they also offer us a spotlight on our own perspective and forces us to sometimes make a stronger case for the way we are thinking, or solidify what we have already considered, or force us to abandon an idea and consider an altogether new one.

Just like leaders ought to surround themselves with people that are not just yes-men but enrich their thought process and keep them in check from making mistakes, we need to surround ourselves with conversations that enrich our perspectives.

Facebook and Youtube have been in the spotlight for their product experience resulting in echo chambers. But we often find ourselves in little echo chambers with the conversations that we have with the people around us.
